Restauring websites on a local wamp server from their folders and database backup can be tricky.
I gather here useful notes for common issue.
1- Reinstall wamp or use the one version installed but take care of selected ports, php versions, etc… to fit with you website.
2- Application case wih a fresh drupal instal made with composer and ready to use for a new website with a new database to create and the drupal install to launch.
3- If issue when installing check file php.ini and increase memory_limit to 512MB and max_execution_time to 1200
4- Reinstalling the whole sets by default appache to port 80, mysql to port 3306 (as this should also be in your settings.php file) and to port 3307 for MariaDB
5- Php version on wamp must also fit with the one of your website server and cms
6- for drupal: !!! sometimes you need to reload again if an http error occurs and it will work …
