KNK Force Blade Cutter & CNC: User Manual
setuMy dear Step Mother Saleha funded part of this professionnal australian Blade cutter I purchased in 2016. I chose this one for its competitive price vs good performances, useful tools e.g. print & Cut and high cappacities regarding materials and thicknesses to be cut.
It also enables to be used as a CNC machine with an optionl rotary tool replacing the 2 pens or baldes or other tools (e,g, embossing) handlers.
It is wireless with 3 connection setup mode, the easier being “ad-Hoc” conection through WIFI to a computer and the C3 embedded software.
The manual referenced here is quite complete and I summarized the most useful information regarding my work below.
Reference manual ( with C3 embedded software):

Quick Startup ( “Ad Hoc”):
1) Plug the KNK FOrce and switch ON. Lights should blink for a minute for the machine to get ready, and then the light should end up turning light blue and remain stable. You are then now ready to access it from a wifi connection on a computer or phone.l
2) On e.g. a windows PC, search for the WFI network named KNK Force and connect.
3) Once connected, open a browser and enter as url the local IP addresss 10.0.0.1
THe C3 software page should appear offering to uplad svg files to cut and various machines parameters setup
KNK Force: Create a File ready to cut with e.g. InkScape
Based on KNK force manual for c3: https://www.iloveknk.com/0um/Force-with-C3/KNKForce-with-C3-UM.pdf
1)Make sure you have version 0.92.3 installed or later
2) Start with a new file. Go to Documents>Preferences and make the following changes:
1. Change Display units to px
2. Set Scale x: to 1.0
3) Create your design. Note that at this point, you can change the display units above the document to inches
(or mm, cm, etc.) as desired.
4) Refer back to the prior section regarding required steps for circles, ovals, text, and other shapes:
Inkscape doesn’t automatically convert text or some of the basic shapes into cutting paths before saving the
file. Thus, certain shapes will not be recognized when imported into C3 unless:
• For all circles and ovals, select them first. Then go to Path>Simplify. If you neglect to do this step, these
shapes will cut random patterns. Do not use this step on shapes with straight lines.
• For text, select and go to Path>Union. Even if your letters are not overlapping, applying a Union will ensure
that the text is cut correctly.
• For all other shapes, before saving as an SVG file, select one layer at a time and go to Path>Combine.
Note that if you have circles and ovals on layers that contain straight line shapes, they can be a part of the
Path>Combine step, as long as you’ve first performed the Path>Simplify on them. The same is true with
text – after applying Path>Union, you can include that text with other shapes when applying
Path>Combine.
5) Before saving the file, go to Extensions>Document and apply DPI 96 to 90. Then proceed with the
following step.
6) Exporting Files as SVG:
• When saving a file in Inkscape, always use Inkscape SVG (*.svg) under Save as type. There are other
SVG options in the menu, however they will not render correctly in C3:
7) (Opt) Layout Mode: knk manual p 4-15
Tool Mode – Without the Large Document Area
• To make the document area equal to the bounding box around the shapes:
Go to File>Document Properties, select the Pages tab.
Under Custom Size, click the box next to Resize page to content.
Click on Resize page to drawing or selection. This will then change the document size (Width and
Height) to be the boundary box around the shapes.

Basically you need to download a package inclueded 2 files to be put in your programFiles/inkscape/../extension/
” (check Edit -> Settings -> System to find its location):
For inkscape 1.0.1 and later, copy
round_corners.pyround_corners.inx
For inkscape 0.92.4 and earler, copy
round_corners.pyround_corners.092_inx(renamed to end in.inx) “
